-ByAdSense Added To Publisher Accounts Without Notice Print
Google AdSense publishers are seeing their channel names modified with the string "-ByAdSense", and no notice, blog post or explanation after the fact, or in account messaging, is forthcoming from the AdSense team.

We noticed the change ourselves during the last week of March 2010. At first it was thought to be our own style to indicated a channel dedicated to only AdSense code (vs code in rotation with other ad networks). But as more appeared it became clear this was coming, without notice, from Google.

A search quickly showed others noticing the same phenomenon but no AdSense blog post or other source of information regarding these unrequested, unapproved and unwelcome changes to our accounts.

We've written to the AdSense team and await their boilerplate response. Perhaps that's too cynical but experienced publishers know what we mean. This article will be updated when and if they reply.
