The Apple iPhone has been hacked by a 17 year old American boy such that it can be used on some other networks instead of ATT (Cingular). It took some doing and was not for the faint of heart, but with a little bit of custom code, erasure of a flash memory, and some soldering the phone is now usable on T-mobile. For calls.

Mighty Google has been testing conventional (non-net) radio spot media buys with a small group of existing Adwords clients on stations all over the country. The service is possible thanks to the purchase of dMarc Broadcasting by Google earlier in 2006. dMarc was acquired to obtain its automated radio ad delivery platform.

YouTube, the new $1.65 billion Google property, has dumped 30,000 videos after complaints from a Japanese industry trade group.
The service allows users to upload video for sharing on the site and posting, without needing to host the actual files, on websites, blogs and MySpace.
