Google's April Fool's Day TiSP Toilet Humor |
|

While viewing the Google search home page today (April 1, 2007) I was greeted by this:
| New! Get FREE breakthrough broadband with Google TiSP (BETA). |
Google's April Fool's Day TiSP Joke. Not so much
Google thinks their attempt at April Fool's day toilet humor is funny. Ah, not so much.
I've got nothing against toilet humor, heck, I crack lame 10 year old boy-level jokes from time to time.
This one just ain't funny.
At all.
The joke from Google calls a fictional free home broadband wifi offer TiSP
That's TiSP as in Toilet Internet Service Provider. Hah hah hah
Hah.
Neeyah.
The pitch includes a picture of a happy mom and child with a toilet in the background.
And the genius potty humor woven throughout explains all the great high speed service is free because Google gets the information contained in your bodily "output" to data mine.
They should have taken their own advice. The last of the FAQ's warns:
| Why is TiSP in beta?
When things go wrong with TiSP, they go very, very wrong. Let's leave it at that.

Google - same goes for toilet humor.
