Yahoo Publisher Network Results Vs AdSense |

On our very small network of sites we've been running a several months long test with Yahoo Publisher Network (YPN) on our airline news and reviews website. There is another site with broader aviation topics coverage with AdSense in rotation with other code.
Our results are very similar to others who have written on this subject but unlike the improvements most describe we have not seen much in the way of improved targeting over time from YPN, despite categorizing the site via the administration system. And yes, the CTR is lower than AdSense but for the most part the eCPMs are close together.
We will be re-launching the YPN test site soon and perhaps the new content and structure will effect the results? On the negative AdSense side - when the aviation site runs crash or safety stories I see "fear of flying" ads - despite url blocking and support e-mails. The site is by pilots and for pilots.
