Telemarketing Scumbags - Small Business Network - 866-310-9662 - 216-839-2146 Print
These sleazebags calling themselves the Small Business Network have called a cell phone of mine for the second time. They use an automated telemarketing 'bot to leave a voice mail on a number that is 1) on the Federal Do Not Call List; 2) a cell phone. They called from a number with caller ID of 216-839-2146.

According to one internet resource, and I don't claim this information to be accurate, the source number on the caller ID (could have been spoofed too) is:

(216) 839-2146
Type: Land Line
Provider: Ameritech
Location: Terrace, OH

Others have suggested calling their toll free number 866-310-9662 time and again to "cost" them money but that might be considered a federal crime and could qualify the calling number as having a pre-existing relationship which could entitle the scum to call back, so I can't endorse either approach.

What you can do is complain to the following Federal Agencies:

FCC - This is a link to their Junk Faxes and Telemarketing online complaint Form. (a new window will open)

FTC - This is a link to their Do Not Call List online complaint form. (a new window will open)

This conduct should be a crime if it is not already. And the Feds should take real action and impose real penalties.
